We do many different type of machine pleat and we are always looking for different variations
For the smaller pleats up to 10mm x 10mm we can pleat up to a drop of 1180mm with a length of 3 metres any longer must be discussed with pleater
Pleating 10mm and above must be no more that 880mm drop and a maximum length of 3 metres and longer length must be discussed with us.
Please ensure hems are not sewn tight or ribbon/braiding is sewn on tight as this can cause uneven pleating.. A simple way to check the hem is to lay material on a flat table with one end straight and check the other end is still straight.
Another problem we have experienced over the years is the different colours of the same material can pleat differently. Sometimes lighter colours can have a poorer pleat and be more problematic just because of the difference in the dye. If you are going to do multiple colours, we would recommend you should do multiple samples
We can pleat completed garments but there can be no buttons, pins or zips
Any objects like this with do irreparable damage to our machine.
Pricing is either per un-pleated meter or per garment.
Machine Knife Pleating
These pleats are not quite as sharp as when done by hand but we can pleat up to 1200mm drop and any length.Sizes are from 6mm with a 6mm underlay to 1" x 1"underlay.
